Greetings! I'm Christina.

Here is a little about myself:

I'm mom of 2 adults in college. One is in engineering and the youngest is going into aeronautics and commercial pilot. I'm happily married to my best friend of 25 years now. We are both Pagan.

I'm a solitary Wiccan. I dedicated myself back in 1997 on December 21st. I was raised in a household with a mix of German mysticism, Catholicism, New Age, and Native American beliefs. I have never been baptized. Never been involved in a church. My church was essentially studying the bible with my mother, but being taught to have an open mind and read the bible as stories. We also used it for an oracle instead of tarot or other things. I've had good and bad experiences with churches, but mostly odd experiences that kept me away from converting.

I had wanted to be a nun for many of my early years. My good friend, Dr. Malachi B Martin (former Jesuit) convinced me that I was better off NOT to do that, that I would find my own way and make a difference in life outside a church I really only had a romantic idea of.

Now I call myself a "Skeptical Witch". I do not believe in a "creative god/goddess". Religion is a personal thing and should NOT be used to control others or have a ruling hand in our government. I feel very strongly about this. I don't think others should tell us what we would believe. This causes me to have issues with preachers, or even people in covens who tell me I have to tow the line. Nope!

I call myself a skeptic because I value the discoveries we have made with science. It's the tool we have used to discover our world. And NO! 2000 years ago people did NOT know how the world worked the way we do now. Of course, science can be and has been manipulated. Then again--so has religion. You throw people into any mix and its going to open the door for manipulation. But the good has outweighed the bad with science! Look at how we are communicating RIGHT NOW!!!

BTW--EVOLUTION HAPPENED!!! IT'S HAPPENING!!!

I have a 2 year AS in computer science. I didn't finish the 4 year because I switched to the RN program in the same school. I graduated with honors in the RN program in 1996. Since then I have worked as a dialysis charge nurse for night shift dialysis (and the first successful night shift dialysis in my state). I have worked acute dialysis in hospitals. I've had a year of psychiatric work with borderline personality disorders and self abuse cases, as well as patients with DID. Since 1997 I have also worked consistently in home care where I have specialized in trach/vent dependent clients. In the last 10 years I have narrowed my specialty to care of infants and children on full life support with various disorders. This allows these children to live at home with their families. It cuts costs for health care, and is emotionally better for the child.

And yes, I have seen patients die over the years.  :(

Through all of this I have continued to hone my skills as an artist. I work in various mediums. I especially like working in leather. My husband works in chainmaille and we have done extensive projects together. Message me if you want my etsy store.

I also sing. I occasionally play my 12 string guitar but that depends on the day and how my pain level is. I have a lot of injuries that are making life harder and an autoimmune disorder that I have to be seen about yet--BUT IT'S NOT LUPUS. It's not lymes either!!!

For my own channel on youtube I do mostly gaming, but I am either going to start things on my second channel or go with vidme for the more political stuff or things that youtube may deem inappropriate I guess.  :)

I met Steve McRae through Shadow Heathens and Paranor001. The GDC has been a lot of fun, and I have learned a lot. I hope to continue in the GDC for a long time!
